Procurement

 Procurement Division

  • The procurement division is responsible for procuring goods, services and works that enable effective and efficient services delivery to the Rehoboth community. This is done in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, 2015 (Act 15 of 2015) and its Regulations as acted by the Government of Namibia. To ensure transparency in the application of this Law, the Accounting Officer has in terms of the provision of the law established three internal structure Committees with designated functions.
  • The three committees and their functions are as follows:
    • Procurement Management Unity (PMU); is responsible for conducting and managing procurement activities of the Council.
    • Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC); examines and evaluates bids.
    • Procurement Committee (PC); which oversees the procurement process conducted by Council.

  •  They seek and purchase products and services at the best possible price and value.
  • Local suppliers and contractors are encouraged to submit their company profiles and the necessary statutory documentation to the procurement officer for consideration when goods and services need to be procured.
